Sir Nathanial Fitzwilliam rides alone on the London Eye, and ends up dead. A body is found in Buckingham Palace. Terrorists attack an exclusive nursery school in Belgravia.
Three tragic deaths, all in the space of hours, all in places where murder simply isn’t meant to happen.
Sergeant Kirstin Toogood is swept up in the events as an anti-terror operation swings into motion. Sergeant Markus Inglefield also finds himself pulled into the investigation and together they try to make sense of troubling prejudices the anti-terror operation focuses on.
Things take a turn for the unexpected and expectations start to unravel. Worst of all, Sergeant ‘Gui’ Guidonis gets involved in the investigation, leaving Kirstin having to choose between the official lines of enquiry of an entire anti-terror operation, or the tangent Gui wants her and Markus to follow.
